The sun rising.
The hopeful glow of a new day. There’s no better symbol for how we at nuud see the power of positive impact.
That’s why we made the Sunrise Pack. Four different 20ml tubes to represent the four different places in the world where we invest in extra positive impact. With each tube you get 10 weeks of freshness and a story that gives lots of happiness.
The Nyungwe Forest National Park in Rwanda is one of the biggest and until now best preserved rainforests in Africa. For each tube sold we invest in a clean oven for the region. These ovens use less wood and emit less fumes than the open pit ovens normally used for cooking. It’s how we can ensure less harm for both rainforest and its people.
This project is also how we compensate for the emissions caused by visits to our website.
In Brazil we support a large wind park in that states of Piauí and Pernambuco. We do this in close collaboration with Climate Partner. It’s thanks to the Park we’re able to compensate for the CO2 emissions of our deliveries and also how we consistently ensure cleaner energy for the region.
In total the wind park’s 156 turbines generate a capacity of 358.8 Mega Watts, which means the project saves an impressive total of around 652.150 ton (!) CO2 per year.
In Aurangabad in India, we support a large project that fishes low value plastic from the oceans. We retrieve twice as much plastic from the ocean as we use throughout our entire manufacturing process (9 ton). Thanks to this project six families are supported with a decent income.
We work with rePurpose Global on this - in support of their mission to: minimize waste, improve lives and restore the balance in nature.
From our base in Amsterdam we make more than 3 million armpits happy worldwide. This means we avoid spraying a whole load of crap in the air. It’s also how we ensure lots of unnecessary ingredients are not being used. And how we make sure lots of packaging isn’t being unnecessarily produced.
But we do more in the Netherlands: for example, we also work with people who normally have a distance to the labour market; they pack the all those packs that find their way around the world. We started on this mission to avoid all the shit conventional that deodorant inflicts and this still keeps us busy every day. Using no deodorant would be best, but after there’s nuud we reckon.
